What Role Does Your Mind Ecology Have?

This is a very important concept that does not get as much attention as it should, mainly because it is an end result of a finely tuned, and nurtured, mind and body. Make sure you fully comprehend exactly what is behind your Mind Ecology, and try to utilize its benefits. - MJ

Could your failure to acheive your own personal success be linked to self-sabotage? This is not the kind of sabotage that you would normally expect or even pay attention to. It is a part of your unconscious called the adaptive unconscious. This part of your mind is trained to predict and then avoid pain, displeasure or stress.

The adaptive unconscious does not set out to cause you to fail. It is working along a complex blueprint that has been developed since the moment you were born, and in has been proven even in the womb.

This part of your mind will not just look at the benefits of a current action. It takes into account how this thought or this action is going to play into your total psychology.

There is something that we call ecology. In the same way in nature there are ecological consequences to building a factory; you have to make sure that you don’t damage the local environment or perhaps cause air pollution. Even though the factory would create jobs and is a boon for the economy ,the factory may be bad for the ecology. In that case the factory just may not be built.

Within our mind we also have an ecological system. Believe or not, at this moment in time you are making all the best choices you can with all the information you have at hand. We are providing you with new information, new options, and alternatives using the subconscious part of your mind.

Listen to your own inner-self at this very moment in time. That part of yourself that says, Is this is "ecological" for me, is this safe for me to do? Try to put this thought pattern into effect, analyzing your thoughts and actions

As you practice using your mind ,it is important that you get a clear sense of what you want to accomplish. But equally important you need to know when you are off course, if you are not accomplishing the goals that you have set for yourself. Then that is the time for you to take a real hard look at what and where are you losing. You may have to give up before you accomplish this new goal. That will be the sign that you are disrupting your minds ecosystem.

Be ready to let go of where you are so you can get to where you want to be. In order to do what you want to do, you must be willing to do what you need to do. This is where practicing at the other subconscious level comes into play. Try to awaken the genius within, Every person has a genius; it is about letting out to play.

When you are at home in a safe place, practice your creative visualization and relaxation techniques. Place yourself in the future, and allow your mind explore all the positive outcomes and use scenario planning to discover potential limitations in your plan. By practicing with a relaxed mind you free up both your inner creativity and your inner critic, giving both equal time to explore. Once you have discovered potential pitfalls, learn to take steps to avoid or overcome them. Then focus 100% of your energy on success.

Your Dominant Thoughts - How to Take Advantage of Them

Q22YSEDVKEKM (technorati)

A powerful force that should never be disregarded or ignored, self belief is a way of focusing and channeling your own thoughts and energy. Take the time to consider this fully. - MJ

Self belief can be a wonderful thing.

Knowing from my own experience, whenever I have been filled with dread or doubt I could not perform at the level I should have. The other day I was using a hammer and bar to take apart a crate. At the time, I was making quite a noise hammering away when my neighbor came over to the workshop to see what I was doing.

Half-jokingly I said: "I haven't hit my fingers with the hammer yet!" Guess what happened within 5 minutes of saying that...Yee-ow! We've all had something similar to this happen to us at one time or another.

Looking back in retrospect, I was planting the seed in my mind that I was going to hit my fingers with the hammer. My mind set about fulfilling the thought.

Not only do you become what you think about, you do what you think about. Whether your thoughts are positive or negative your mind will act on them.

If you are directed by your dominant thoughts, why not implant your mind with things that will benefit you? For instance, if you really want to become a pilot then concentrate on being one. Become obsessed with it. Learn all you can about it.

Do you think that Michael Jordan became the greatest basketball player of all time by not thinking about and concentrating on the game of basketball? During his brief siesta into baseball he was not as successful. Basketball was his main focus. He couldn't get it out of his mind. So he returned to the sport to lead the Chicago Bulls for another three years before retiring, making yet another comeback, and retiring for good in 2003.

What are your dominant thoughts? Are you thinking about the things that will make you the person that you ultimately want to be? Do you have deep and powerful thoughts about these things?

The first step to becoming the person that you want to be starts in the mind. You then need to set that train in motion.

One thing that can really help you, is to sit down and write out your life goals taking as many pages as you need. After you have crafted your life story the way that you want it to unfold begin summarizing it. Try and get it down to a single page.

Once you have done this you should read it as often as possible. At the very minimum you should read it at least once a day. Preferably you should do this first thing in the morning, and make it the last thing you do before going to bed at night. And then as many times in between as you desire - it really all depends how strong your desire is.

The more times you read your plan, the more it will get implanted in your mind. Remember, your mind does not discriminate between reality and fiction. It will simply act on it - just like my mind did when I joked about not hitting my fingers with the hammer.

Think negative and you will receive negative. Think POSITIVE and you will receive POSITIVE.

Make your plan!

Your Success: Obtainable or Sustainable?

The desire to consistently improve your life is one of your most fundamental needs. That feeling that comes from knowing that everyday you are becoming more is part of your nature. Knowing that you are affecting and improving your environment through your own influence is immensely satisfying. It is a key ingredient in living a happy and fulfilled life. At some level we are al pursuing success of some sort. We are constantly looking for ways to have more, to be more and to gain more, thinking that once we “have it all” we will be happy and life will be perfect. Then, we can take it easy and relax and just enjoy life.

This way of thinking, this mindset, acts like a virus that can “kill” you.  If not emotionally then spiritually. Our modern culture is filled with numerous examples of top achievers who seemingly have everything but they are deeply unhappy and constantly have to battle with the challenges within their own character. They fail to grasp the true purpose of success. From it's latin origin, the word success actually means "to advance" or "to progress" which implies that success is not "something" you get at the end but a process that has very little to do with the end result. From this point of view success is what will improve your life as it is what moves you forward to a better experience of life.

In their pursuit of a greater quality of life most people loose sight of the real reason why they actually want to be successful in the first place. It is never the "things" but rather the way you believe these things will make you feel once you've got them. Your success will be either obtainable or sustainable. Most of your desires will be obtainable within your lifetime but this no guarantee that you will be happy and fulfilled. When you strive for collecting and accumulating "things" you will experience very little fulfilment as you will always rely on something external to give you the feelings that you want to experience inside you; feelings that you believe will come from having what you pursue.

The real purpose of a goal is never to obtain something of material value but rather the qualities that you will gain as a person in your pursuit of the goal. For you to have success that is sustainable you must develop a new mindset; a mindset that focuses not on what you must do to get what you want, but on what you must become to attract that which you want. What you become is what you get to keep. When you shift your focus to developing your character, you can start to use goals and success as a means to an end instead of it being the end-all and be-all of life. You start to distance yourself from the need to have "stuff" in order to feel that sense of joy and fulfilment.

Knowing that you can be successful is not enough. You want the experience of success. You that feeling of success as a part of who you are as a person; as part of your character. When your success is obtainable, when you are able to collect the things, then your experience of success rarely lasts very long. There is no consistency in the experience. So often we see amazing success stories of young achievers that reach their all their goals in a short period of time, only to break down emotionally soon after. The reason is that they haven't learned the key to lasting success which is the ability to create success in your life that is sustainable. Sustainable success is inexhaustible. It is consistent and takes care of itself. With the qualities and attributes that you learned through the experience of pursuing your goal you are able to re-create any achievement as you are the source.

The concept of obtainable and sustainable success is best illustrated with Aesop's fable of the Goose and the Golden Egg. The goose as the source of the gold could consistently produce the gold, but the farmer out of his impatience and ignorance wanted it all and he wanted it now. So, he cut open the goose only to find out that there is nothing. The moral of the story is that you should nurture and develop yourself in order to sustain your happiness and success. If your focus is just on obtaining goals you will not get any more "golden eggs" as the real value is in what you become and how that makes you feel.

You can either obtain success or you can become it. The objective is the same but the mindset is very different. You can either get the "things" that will make you feel successful or you can become the source of your own success and fulfilment. You want lasting results and this will only come from your ability to create and re-create, on demand, that what you whish to experience during your time on earth. Adopting the mentality of creating lasting success, of becoming sustainable, starts with realizing that true success comes from giving and not getting. In the giving lies the "getting" in that what you give away is what you get to experience and your experience is what you get to keep forever. Ultimately, to sustain anything you must give and receive for this is the very nature of growth and life itself. Success is a feeling and in making that feeling part of who you are, you will never be without success and you will never be left wanting anything outside of you.

Let go of your need to obtain "stuff" and focus on the experience of life and the emotional content of your life. Improve yourself by pursuing goals that will make of you the kind of person that manifest that which you want most. That which you obtain will eventually disappear and loose its value. That which you sustain will grow and expand and continue to increase the quality of your magnificent life. Obtainable success is static and like anything in nature that does not grow it will eventually die.

Advantages of Being Confident

Almost all successes and attainments in life come from your ability to feel certain that you can accomplish what you set out to achieve. Confidence is the gateway to success; to the life that you wish to lead and to the dreams that you desire to live.

With confidence you can boldly progress towards your ambitions and aspirations. With confidence you can rise up and handle life’s demands and challenges. You can tackle any hurdle and obstruction, and move on to the next step of your journey to fulfilment and achievement.

One of the principle requirements to anything you want to do in your life is confidence. Confidence is an indispensable part of your development, betterment, progress and success, both at a personal and professional level. With confidence you can forge ahead to fulfil your potential and perform at your peak level.

Having confidence is the crux that allows you to achieve your true potential in whatever situation; in your relationships, your work or career, your finances and your self-image.

When you experience a lack of confidence, it may stop you from striving for what you want. This feeling of lack of confidence can be the root of many complications and hardships that block you from achieving your desires. It can be like a large thorn that continually bursts the bubble of desire.

There may have been times when you have felt a level of confidence when you were engaged in an activity that you were good at; such as driving a car, being a parent or managing your team. At those times you would have displayed a high level of certainty, which is a form of confidence.

However, there may have been other circumstances where you found that you felt less confident. On these occasions, you would achieve a fraction of what is truly possible for you. With determination and focus to pursue and gain confidence, you can develop the strength and fortitude to climb out of the depths of any circumstances, and take advantage of the opportunities and successes that lay ahead of you.

In the same way that you have learned to lack confidence, you can also learn to have unlimited confidence. And the simplest and quickest way to kick-start the engines of your brain, is to know and accept that confidence can be an acquired process; it can be learned and formatted to suit all moments.

As your confidence increases, you can take a front row seat in mastering many areas of your life. You will find that you become more and more comfortable and confident in multiple areas, including:
Moving ahead in your career
Starting your own business
Embracing the risks of every day life
Refusing to be held back by fear
Creating circumstances rather than waiting for them
Smiling more and enjoying life
Dramatically improving your health

Successful and dynamic people have gained mastery on how to feel courageous and confident. When you develop and build on your own confidence skills, you, too, will feel and become a different person. You will feel much more enthusiastic, motivated and determined in every aspect of your life.

Once you improve on the way you think and feel about yourself, your beliefs and your actions will follow. You will confidently overcome the challenges that life thrusts upon you and you will manage them with new-found belief and faith in your capability to do so.

As you become more confident you abandon worry, hesitation and, more importantly, you side-step fear. The focus here is on your whole being, every part of you; your thoughts, the images in your mind, your emotions, and ultimately your behaviour and the actual outcomes in your life.

Bear in mind that as you focus on change, change does begin to happen. It is fun, motivating and very rewarding to feel and see yourself growing and improving and becoming more confident and effective day-by-day and week-by-week.

There is great power in believing that you can succeed in your quest for greater confidence. With awareness and consistency, this is attainable. Your confidence can stretch beyond any measurable scale and further still, knowing no boundaries.

Just think what you can do with all the confidence that you can have!
